churned out some pretty fantastic covers this year. Amanda Seyfried delighted on last month’s cover and now girl-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid closes out the year for December. Following in the footsteps of sister Bella who covered the March issue, Gigi was captured by master photographer Patrick Demarchelier for the occasion. Giving us major hair envy in the soft and dreamy image, Gigi tosses her curls over her shoulder while wearing a pink lace Gucci dress and going sans clothes inside the magazine’s upcoming edition.

Yet Allure‘s latest wasn’t enough to impress the majority of our forum members. “Oh for crying out loud, she is now beyond overused! She doesn’t look bad but I don’t like anything about this! The fake baby doll hair, underwear showing or her makeup!” exclaimed a far from impressed Miss Dalloway.
“Yes, however passable it may look, I’m positively fed-up seeing her on every cover. Also, ‘Gigi bares all’? Saw it all on Vogue Paris earlier this year. I applaud Allure for using more models, but can we use someone other than Kendall, Gigi and Bella?” asked Benn98.
Also unafraid to voice their opinion was anlabe32: “Does anyone who buys magazines even care about her? Do they know her at all?”
“I’d like it a lot more if she wasn’t wearing what looks like curtain rags and a patriotic nappy. I like Gigi, but the ‘fashion’ on that cover really offends my eyes. Allure‘s done nude covers in the past that were tasteful and revealed nothing, so why not go for that again, give us something interesting for a U.S. magazine, and get some headlines for it,” said tigerrouge, making a very valid point.
Dodencebt, however, actually liked what he saw: “By definition, I should dislike it but I find it gorgeous. She commands authority even with that hideous blue eye-shadow on.”
Sharing the same view was happycanadian, expressing, “It’s a beautiful cover and a beautiful editorial! She looks fantastic. And – sorry that y’all think she’s overused. That’s literally what it means to be a Supermodel. And, like it or not, that’s what she is (of this generation).”
