Our forums are notorious for craving festive magazine covers when it comes to our favorite December issues. So it should come as no surprise that we’re delighted with Harper’s Bazaar Spain right now. Giving us Natalia Vodianova as its cover model of choice and following in the footsteps of Joan Smalls and Bella Hadid, Natalia lends her supermodel status to Bazaar‘s front cover to close out 2016. Photographed by Thomas Whiteside, the Russian beauty looks fantastic wearing Louis Vuitton as she poses before a rich red studio backdrop — and we love it.
Members of our forums made their feelings clear. “That’s brilliant. One of my favorite covers in a while, the styling just fits her to perfection,” noted Wintergreen.
“I think this is gorgeous! I’m such a sucker for red at this time of year and I do love how festive this feels — yet still maintaining their image as a fashion magazine. I’m struggling to find a negative about this cover to be completely honest and think Natalia looks fabulous. Bravo Bazaar Spain!” championed vogue28.
Echoing the same sentiments was gius: “Lots of good stuff coming from Spain! This kind of hair and makeup look wonderful on Natalia.”
Benn98 was a fan too, admiring, “It’s nice to have a festive cover, love all the rich reds and the outfit.”
However, not everyone was quick to express such enthusiasm. “She looks good but the layout is lazy. What happened with this magazine: people in Spain, any info?” questioned Xone.
“Too much of red. And this styling is so boring,” discredited narcyza.
“I find Thomas Whiteside to be such a boring photographer,” A.D.C complained.
