Lily Aldridge Stars in Peter Lindbergh’s Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 Campaign

With numerous Vogue cover appearances under her belt along with the new Carolina Herrera campaign, Lily Aldridge must be doing something right — though she typically doesn’t get a whole lot of love from our forum members. Lily’s latest campaign is for Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017, appearing alongside fellow models McKenna Hellam and Andres Velencoso. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh, the trio was transported to the idyllic location of Taormina, Sicily for the campaign images.

Our forums first took a look at Andres’ campaign image and began to deliberate. “Oh this is stunning, exactly what I want from Ferragamo,” approved anlabe32 at once.

“That is a fantastic shot and the colors are so gorgeous,” raved Nomar.

Quick to point out the tranquil location was MyNameIs, describing, “Perfection. I want to go there.”

But once we took a peek at the shots with Lily and McKenna, it was a different story. “Lily ruins it for me,” exclaimed KissMiss. “She kind of doesn’t add anything! Andres looks amazing, the first solo shot is a pure perfection,” he said, sharing the same sentiments with everyone else.

“It’s a lovely concept ruined by two girls who don’t fit in. Andres, the set and photography are the only things making this worthy IMO,” stated kokobombon.

“What a weird trio. I don’t really get what’s the story here but the shots are great,” said sixtdaily, also underwhelmed by the casting.

Benn98 was unsure of the narrative too. “Maybe Lily invited her friend to meet her rich boyfriend?” he laughed.

KateTheGreatest was in the same frame of mind, writing, “I had high hopes after seeing the first picture with Andres but this is boring. I have no idea how Lily made it this far as a model, she is the definition of boring.”
