Throughout decades of publication, Vanity Fair has had its fair share of iconic covers, and the title’s newest cover is sure to generate a whole lot of buzz. For the upcoming August 2017 issue, tennis ace Serena Williams recreates one of the magazine’s most recognizable covers exactly 26 years later, posing nude à la Demi Moore (August 1991) while pregnant with her first child. Taking to the cover for the very first time, Serena is captured in profile by world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.

“Woah, OK! I’m speechless. So much to take in. I think it’s a very daring image (remake of Demi’s iconic cover?) which will certainly shock the VF reader trouser-less. The ‘styling’ simply doesn’t work, it’s far too dark, but with that masthead it’s definitely eye-catching. Plus, I’m definitely keen to hear what she’s got to say,” voiced tFS forum member Benn98 upon seeing the cover.
“Now that is how you re-do your most Iconic cover, LOVE IT!” applauded Miss Dalloway.
“I’m not a fan of this kind of pregnancy pictures, but this one is really beautiful, love the atmosphere,” confessed Zelda Zonk.
Echoing the sentiments was forum member kokobombon: “I find this type of cover lame but she looks amazing, look at that hair! and I love that they left some skin texture instead of Photoshopping her into oblivion!”
Maxlinden was certainly a fan. “RAW GLAMOUR! I live!” he gasped in sheer awe.
“OMG! love it,” stated an impressed matheus_s.
