BFFs Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner Come Together for Fendi’s Fall 2017 Campaign

We should have known that Karl Lagerfeld would ask Gigi Hadid back as the face of Fendi after she appeared in last season‘s advertising campaign with sister Bella Hadid and fellow model Vittoria Ceretti. After the first Fall 2017 campaign image surfaced, we assumed Gigi would be fronting the campaign solo for the coming season, but the latest ad to be revealed shows Gigi modeling alongside BFF Kendall Jenner. Shot by Karl himself, the duo is captured amongst a stark white studio setting for the Italian fashion house’s rather uneventful campaign.

Upon first seeing the solo campaign image featuring Gigi, our forum members were less than impressed. “With an actual model this would have looked appealing,” said anlabe32 at once.

“The face ruined everything,” added khyrk.

“One word: cheap. She looks more like a porn star than a fashion model,” voiced GreyVetiver.

Also hating the image was ChicSaks. “This campaign makes the collection look even worse. TERRIBLE!” he cried out.

Although not everyone was disappointed. “This is actually good, everything works, she suits this look very well,” commented a pleasantly surprised Miss Dalloway.

Benn98 admitted he liked what he saw too, saying, “Love it! Love how vintage it was styled, hair and make-up looks great, and she certainly fit this theme. Anxious to see more!”

“Not bad. The photographs are good but not great. The standard Karl had set for Fendi’s advertising has become painfully low. When compared to last season this is a huge improvement. I don’t even mind Kendull this time,” stated forum member GivenchyHomme.

“I have nothing against Kendall or Gigi but this is such a bad campaign, I don’t think that different models could have made it better either. The props are so cheesy and lame,” critiqued kokobombon upon seeing more images.
