La Perla is into Kendall Jenner right now. Not only was she the face of the luxurious Italian lingerie label last season (alongside Isabeli Fontana and Liu Wen), Kendall also appeared in the vibrant advertising campaign for the Pre-Fall collection back in May. Going solo and reprising her role for Fall 2017, Kendall was captured by photographic duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott on location lounging amongst the surroundings of a whimsical and fairytale-like garden, holding her own for La Perla’s “romantic” new collection.

Members of our forums didn’t hesitate to make their opinions heard loud and clear. “No matter how sexy your poses are, if you are still doing this ‘I’m bored/I’m trying to be a model’ pout, it will never work. Wasn’t Natasha Poly available for this?” asked Lola701, suggesting Kendall’s modeling skills weren’t up to scratch.
“This needed someone more vibrant,” said Nymphaea.
“Its almost like she has no spirit, no picture of her ever comes alive,” complained Vitamine W.
Also quick to question the casting was CrisGalaxy: “They don’t hire her for her modeling skills and how well her facial expressions are going to lure in customers but instead for her celebrity status.”
“Yep, Natasha would have rocked this,” agreed zacateas570. “For some reason, this reminded me of Louis Vuitton S/S 2010 with Lara Stone by Steven Meisel.”
Forum member badgalcrush also wasn’t impressed. “Lifeless, and the excess Photoshop doesn’t help,” he stated.
“This looks really cheap to me,” maxlinden added.
Benn98 wasn’t here for the outcome either: “The styling and setting had so much potential, but she’s just not giving much here. This is the problem when the hire comes from higher ups.”
