Mica Arganaraz Tries Her Best to Be a Michael Kors Girl, Starring in the Resort 2018 Campaign

Over the years, we’ve become accustomed to the same formula from Michael Kors campaigns: beautiful models jetting all over the world via private jets, fabulous yachts and luxury cars. Shockingly, the brand’s new Resort 2018 campaign is devoid of any modes of transportation, luxury or otherwise. Mica Arganaraz is Michael Kors’ latest muse, taking us to a tropical setting (yes, please) as she lounges in the shade of a cabana for photographer Mario Testino.

But is Mica the quintessential Michael Kors woman? According to our forum members, she is. “I like it. Not a car/boat/helicopter in sight!” rejoiced kokobombon immediately.

“Well finally she’s out of the car!” proclaimed elle_gb.

RedSmokeRise laughed, “It’s nice to see the Kors woman finally arriving at her destination after so many seasons of being stuck in transit.”

TaylorBinque was also pleased with the change in direction. “I was like, it’s just going to be either a car or a helicopter. I was wrong and I am so happy she’s somewhere nice and has arrived safely. As for the images, they’re fine. Nothing special but the bag really bothers me – like I get it you want to sell the bag,” he voiced.

“Looks more like H&M than Michael Kors. Mica doesn’t suit the brand, she made it look more pedestrian than it is. At least Freja [Beha Erichsen] and Edie [Campbell], also not Kors girls, managed to pull it off,” stated an unimpressed Benn98.

“I actually feel that Mica’s looks are a bit too edgy for Kors. Edie Campbell did a fantastic job, her ads really stood out for me, as Joan Smalls did before her. There is also way too much Photoshopping of Mica’s face… but that’s another topic,” expressed Zposen.

Kenndale couldn’t have agreed more: “I do like Mica but she doesn’t really strike me as a Kors girl,” he echoed.
