Luna Bijl’s Stars on Vogue Spain’s ‘Passable’ Cover for December 2017

Our forum members are still in awe over Vogue Spain’s flawless November cover starring the always stunning Raquel Zimmermann — that is, until the newly unveiled December 2017 issue arrived for us to deliberate over. The magazine continues to favor models as Dutch beauty Luna Bijl closes out the year on this month’s cover. A firm favorite over at Vogue Paris and the current face of Chanel eyewear, Luna was photographed by Nathaniel Goldberg for Spanish Vogue‘s latest, modeling a striking creation from Jean Paul Gaultier.

“This cover does not say anything. Vogue Spain has lost its identity MANY years ago, there’s no message nor clear directions with their cover subjects and compositions, it feels bland. Luna looks gorgeous but as a cover, it’s a fail,” declared Bertrando3 the moment the cover struck.

“I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either. Luna has done better with her VP covers,” said gianna.

It was almost a win for dodencebt. “Luna looks incredible but I wish I could see her hand on the stone wall. It would have done wonders for the composition,” he stated.

Scotty also pointed out the missing arm: “The only thing bothering me is the lack of the right arm.”

“It looks like she’s trying to hide a withered arm, but despite being exiled to a colony on the edge of town, she believes in living glamorously,” storied tigerrouge.

Benn98 wondered, “Why didn’t they let the weird red hood/cape rest on her shoulders? It looks very odd and ultimately ruins what would’ve been an otherwise passable cover. I’m happy for Luna though.”

“Gorgeous! Luna needs more Vogue covers ASAP!!” bluestar wrote, showing the cover some love.
