Bella Hadid Channels Dolly Parton in DSquared2’s Western-Inspired Fall 2018 Campaign

The Fall 2018 season sure is looking bright for Bella Hadid. After walking 14 shows during fashion month, Bella now sets her sights on ad campaigns for the upcoming season and her first conquest is DSqaured2. Shot on location in a motel room by photographic duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Bella seems to channel country music icon Dolly Parton with her mass of voluminous hair as she participates in the western-inspired shoot.

At least some of our forum members were fans of the campaign. “Dolly Parton much? This has Katie Grand written all over this with the gimmicks. But I don’t actually hate it,” confessed FadeToBlack.

“Bella’s usual vacant expression is perfect for this,” forum member mikel admitted.

TeeVanity was also quick to confess their love for the image, writing, “Actually, I love this a lot!”

Not everyone was feeling the heavily inspired shoot, however. “This just does not work. At least Kendall is improving but Bella is just a pretty girl who can’t model at all,” slammed TaylorBinque.

“Bella’s like a mannequin, artificially formed to appear very beautiful, but at the price of not being that versatile. I’m not entirely sure it works here. Is it all too stiff? Or is the ‘story’ supposed to be about someone all dressed up with nowhere to go, sitting alone in her room with her own emptiness. And her own shadow,” mused tigerrouge.

“If they wanted a drag queen look they should have just hired one,” added lelaid.
