Vogue Portugal September 2018 : Crystal Renn by Branislav Simoncik

Vogue Portugal Might Have Just Won September With This Crystal Renn Cover

We’ve been Vogue Portugal’s biggest advocates over recent months (overlooking this Jessica Stam cover, of course) thanks to the magazine’s boundary-pushing cover subjects, cover images and cover design. It has become one of the boldest and most daring tiles at the newsstand right now — and it’s not letting is down for September. The magazine makes Crystal Renn its latest cover girl, dressed in a red Givenchy dress while playing the role of a ‘diva’ perfectly for photographer Branislav Simoncik.

It was love at first sight for our forum members. “When I first saw this on Instagram I genuinely thought it was a Vogue Italia throwback, seriously one of the best covers I’ve seen in so long! So reminiscent of the glory days of Vogue Italia under Franca [Sozzani]! Obsessed,” raved Blayne266.

“WOW! I love this cover. It looks like a mid-2000s Vogue Italia. Very nice,” RanThe said.

“Now that’s a great Vogue cover,” stated mepps.

“My goodness, stunning!! This is beyond!” expressed MON.

In agreement over how terrific everything turned out was Fiercification. “Amazing cover. One of the best I’ve seen in ages. I’ve never been a Crystal fan but she can bring some great sultry energy to her editorial work,” he said.

“EASILY my favorite September cover, I will go to great lengths to get this in print! Well done!” applauded Miss Dalloway.

Perickles made her love for the cover clear too: “I love it! Very theatrical and artistic! I love her red dress and expression. This is a very passionate cover.”

“This is such a fantastic cover. Full of real life and energy, and just fully enticing you to grab a copy to read,” noted sweetpop.
