Vogue Italia January 2019 : Rebecca Leigh Longendyke by Craig McDean

Rebecca Leigh Longendyke Becomes a Vogue Italia Cover Girl for January 2019

Italia welcomed back an old favorite last month, giving the December 2018 cover to iconic supermodel Shalom Harlow. To kick off 2019, the Italian fashion bible is starting with a fresh face, model Rebecca Leigh Longendyke. After an impressive Spring 2019 runway season (she walked over 40 shows), the blonde beauty solidifies her position as one of the industry’s hottest newcomers. Photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Alastair McKimm, Rebecca wears black Valentino and gives a nod to the 60s to portray “the elegance of youth.”

Unfortunately, the cover fell completely flat with the majority of our forum members. “It could have been such a good cover with the background image only. The front shot of Rebecca looks weirdly Photoshopped, IMO,” pointed out Ivanovaju.

“That is one gorgeous girl but I’m not feeling the two images together. The background one would have been so stunning on its own,” echoed dodencebt.

“Ditch the stiff mannequin in the foreground and this could’ve been kinda cool,” added ellastica.

Sharing the same sentiments was orchidee: “The background shot alone would have been intriguing. She looks confused in the foreground.”

MON couldn’t have agreed more. “Not that terrible, but absolutely could and should have been better. The background image should have been the lone cover. The front image just doesn’t work that much,” he said.

“I hate it. It’s weak and it makes no sense to me. What is this pose? She looks like she doesn’t know what to do with her hands!! Awful,” said ghostwriter10549.

“The pose could be more commanding, especially with that backdrop and the campiness of the dress. But it’s a halfway decent cover,” Benn98 said.

“Comparing this to their previous covers, it looks nice, feminine and properly vintage. Pretty girl,” Srdjan added.
