Vogue China March 2019 : Vittoria Ceretti by Sølve Sundsbø

Vittoria Ceretti Is Ravishing in Red on Vogue China’s Striking March Cover

China went almost a whole year without getting much attention on our forums — until it delivered a spectacular Grace Elizabeth cover for December 2018. Three months later and Chinese Vogue is back on our radar with a striking and rather mysterious cover starring Vittoria Ceretti. Everyone’s favorite Italian model and the current face of mega fashion brands Chanel, Moschino and Versace posed for Sølve Sundsbø for the magazine’s March 2019 cover. To complement the cinematic image, stylist Anders Solvsten Thomsen opted for a red sequined look from Hedi Slimane’s debut Celine collection.

The lady in red had our forum members captivated from the get-go. “Finally something different from them, love it. She looks great,” Miss Dalloway complimented at once.

“Oh wow, absolutely love it! A great idea for a cover. I’m sure it will pop on the newsstand,” said russianelf.

“FINALLY another good Vogue China cover! It’s been YEARSSSSSSSSS. I love the background, her dress…everything,” Bertrando3 praised.

“Very striking and mysterious cover, I love it,” raved forum member Lax89.

Fiercification couldn’t have agreed more. “Pretty good, she looks so commanding here. Solve’s work for VC in recent months has made me pay attention to him again,” he said.

A select few took issue with the background, however. “They ruined the cover with that stupid background,” complained Perickles.

“WOW, what a way to take an amazing subject and lose her to the busyness of the background,” echoed RMDV.

“I know the background looks kind of cheesy but I honestly don’t mind it. I think it’s actually an interesting contrast. It’s an appropriately festive cover and I like the different choice of red, it’s quite moody,” defended Nomar.

DK92 described the cover as “gorgeous” and we couldn’t agree more. Check out Vittoria’s cover story and share your thoughts here.
