You’ve been hiding under a rock if you don’t already know that Big Little Lies will soon be back on our TV screens and to celebrate Laura Brown tapped the ladies of the hit HBO show for InStyle‘s latest. Going the extra mile, Brown opted to produce a total of five covers for the title’s June 2019 offering with Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Zoë Kravitz, Laura Dern and Shailene Woodley each playing a 60s housewife before the lens of photographer Pamela Hanson.
The covers immediately caught the attention of our forum members. “While the execution isn’t always great, Laura’s InStyle and its cover stars are culturally relevant and often unexpected. Getting all five women from Big Little Lies before season two premieres is a big coup for the magazine. Also, Zoë’s cover is gorgeous and definitely my favorite,” commented dodencebt.

“Color me impressed! I’ve never watched the show, but I am familiar with each actress. These are great covers!” praised Velasco.
“InStyle is probably the most finger-on-the-pulse monthly American fashion magazine along with ELLE. All your favourites timed perfectly and executed in a fresh, unpretentious way and this month is a prime example,” applauded magsaddict.
Also impressed was forum member dfl-001: “If you’re going to do multi-covers, this is how to do it. The styling is consistent and doesn’t overwhelm anyone.”
“To me this is exactly what monthly magazines should be doing. Creating events and unexpected covers that make you want to go to the shops to buy. I genuinely think Laura is the best in the business,” 8eight proclaimed.
Favorites soon began to emerge. “This was wonderfully executed. Laura…wow! She looks like she’s having the best sex life ever from that cover! Which plays so well with her character on the show,” raved Breathless.
“Despite being the most difficult to photograph, Shailene is the winner here! Along with Laura. Their covers are just flawless,” declared Benn98.
“In love with Laura’s cover. It’s the epitome of nonchalant HBIC. Zoë’s cover is also gorgeous,” said Ken Doll Jenner.
