V Magazine #126 Fall 2020 : Laura Harrier by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

Laura Harrier Strikes a Strong Pose for V Magazine’s Fall 2020 Issue

It’s safe to say that V Magazine is firmly back on our radar following the unveiling of its model extravaganza for Summer 2020 featuring many of the industry’s finest on 15 covers. The American publication is once again the topic of conversation with its Fall 2020 offering starring Laura Harrier. Receiving the mag’s quintessential cover treatment, the actress was captured by photographic duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. In the black and white cover image, Laura strikes a pose wearing a mash-up of Louis Vuitton, Isa Boulder and Chrome Hearts jewelry selected by stylist Alex White.

But the publication’s latest caused a great divide among our forum members. “Oh, stunning! Laura looks very in command and thank God it’s an inoffensive Louis Vuitton outfit,” praised dodencebt.

“This kinda reminds me of the great old days of V Magazine! It’s very beautiful…” admired Lola701.

“Now that’s a cover for me. Laura looks drop dead gorgeous and I’ve always been a sucker for Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin’s black and white V Magazine covers…it’s a win for me!” cheered aracic.

In the same frame of mind was vogue28: “A win of a cover for me, too, have nothing but praise for it. I’m also a sucker for Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin’s black and white photography, love the contrasting orange masthead and fonts just as much as Alex White’s styling.”

“Laura is beyond amazing, the photography is good, classic Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, but can someone please explain what is going on with this styling?” asked an unimpressed pizzicato.

Benn98 wasn’t buying it, either. “Laura is so stunningly beautiful, don’t know how they managed to mess this up. Styling is a mess, that garish art direction is a mess and I don’t get the concept.”

“They managed to turn Nicolas Ghesquière’s Vuitton into a Philipp Plein-esque vulgar mess with that styling,” proclaimed Ken Doll Jenner.
