It’s fair to say that Emmanuelle Alt won 2020 thanks to her stellar covers of Vogue Paris. She’s navigating the pandemic with ease giving us glamour with the likes of Bella and Gigi Hadid when we needed it most. Not to mention several Rianne Van Rompaey covers. Now the mag wraps up a year of triumphant covers by welcoming Léa Seydoux as its guest editor for the double December/January issue. The French actress has never graced the French fashion bible before, but these three covers fill the void with Léa posing before the lens of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Alasdair McLellan and Craig McDean.
Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin’s cover (above top) was the first to drop. “I like this! The layout works. All of Alt’s covers have been on brand. Kudos to Alt!” applauded MON.
“I love it. I can’t believe Léa has never had a Vogue Paris cover before…” said SLFC.
“The three covers are OK, but the best is McLellan’s (above left) because Léa channels Marilyn Monroe so well and it’s more striking,” proclaimed burbuja8910.

“The McDean cover pretty much sums up fashion in 2020,” added RedSmokeRise.
Also far from impressed with the third cover was vogue28: “Léa channeling Marilyn Monroe by Alasdair McLellan is the most joyous and Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin’s is the most dramatic and perhaps my favorite overall. About time Seydoux scored the cover of Vogue Paris…”
“What on earth is that third cover? It physically hurts me to even look at it,” voiced annikad.
“LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE SECOND COVER!” raved violetcai0802.
