Allure February 2021 : Pat McGrath by Richard Burbridge

Living Legend Pat McGrath Graces Allure’s February 2021 Cover

With the exception of a spectacular Hunter Schafer cover, Allure simply wasn’t the magazine for us last year. It was largely thanks to a series of questionable Billy Porter, Jihyo and Emma Chamberlain covers. But Michelle Lee appears to be getting 2021 off to a fine start by celebrating Pat McGrath with Allure‘s February 2021 cover. Photographed by Richard Burbridge, the legendary British makeup artist serves nothing but face in the cover image naturally wearing makeup from her Pat McGrath Labs line.

The cover took our forum members by surprise. “WELL DESERVED! A living legend,” raved DK92 the moment the cover dropped.

“She’s serving. Dame McGrath needs to drop her skin care routine cause she’s looked the same for more than 20 years,” THD96 pointed out.

“Dame Pat is so stunning! So well deserved, a living icon. There is no other talent like her in the makeup world,” proclaimed Blayne266.

MON felt the same way: “Well deserved! The master of her generation and industry. This sparks joy. A full circle for Dame McGrath. From behind the scenes to the cover of a magazine!”

“She’s the most deserving cover star that they have had in years. This issue is one for the books for sure,” crmsnsnwflks chimed in.

“Besides the excessive retouching, it is a pleasant cover as Pat is the queen of makeup and deserves this cover a lot!” voiced GivenchyAddict.

“I love Pat but she’s more retouched than Hailey Bieber in Versace’s Spring 2021 campaign,” agreed helmutnotdead.

“Yes well deserved, but this is really Glenda Bailey level of corny. And why would they Facetune her skin so much when it’s supposed to be all about how her makeup is so good? Sorry, fail for me!” said Benn98.
