Rianne Van Rompaey, Sacha Quenby, Sora Choi and Vittoria Ceretti Strike Several Poses for Louis Vuitton’s New Handbag Campaign

Designers don’t always make good photographers. Take Nicolas Ghesquière and Louis Vuitton’s recent advertising campaigns. But the brand decided to go in another direction with its latest ads. This time around Steven Meisel captures the label’s new Alma handbag campaign. Styled by Carine Roitfeld, Rianne Van Rompaey, Sacha Quenby, Sora Choi along with Vittoria Ceretti showcase the colorful bags in the studio.

“The styling, especially that hair, is so hideous that even Steven Meisel can’t save this crap,” expressed a disappointed dontbeadrag.

Summer Day obviously isn’t a fan: “Very faux Versace. Nothing works here. The photography, the bangs, the outfits… Hard pass.”

“Best casting and photographer and this is still pretty terrible,” confessed bluebanter.

Mercredi absolutely agreed. “Flawless casting and photography, but those horrid wigs ruined everything…”

“It’s been some time since I’ve seen such a terrible, terrible Meisel shoot!” voiced a clearly annoyed Benn98.

“I’m a huge advocate for Steven Meisel, but even I can admit this is an eyesore and far from his finest moment. The styling is questionable, the post-production is abysmal and there’s just no depth to the images whatsoever. It’s all rather flat and lifeless,” ranted vogue28.

“This is hilariously bad. Meisel should be ashamed,” shared avonlea002.
