Oscar de la Renta ‘Alibi’ Fragrance 2021 : Irina Shayk by Luigi & Iango

Irina Shayk Is the Face of Oscar de la Renta’s New Alibi Fragrance Campaign

Irina Shayk and Luigi & Iango may just be the new Linda Evangelista and Steven Meisel of the industry. Time and time again, the Russian beauty and the photographic duo create total magic, either with covers for Vogue Germany and Vogue Japan or advertising campaigns for Blumarine and Ermanno Scervino. Fashion’s new dream team is brought back together thanks to Oscar de la Renta’s new Alibi fragrance campaign. The captivating shot shows Irina looking fierce and fabulous while serving face high up on the rooftops of New York City.

The campaign drew mixed feedback on our forums. “I mean Irina looks stunning, there’s no denying that. But everything about this is so generic,” voiced mikel the moment the campaign dropped.

“Goodness, the image is so generic,” echoed TaylorBinque.

“Yes, she looks beautiful, but it is so boring and we’ve seen her do this five million times before,” Serend1pity chimed in.

WAVES wasn’t buying it, either. “Alibi is not a suitable name for an ODLR fragrance… Also agree that Irina looks stunning, but a little generic, too.”

“Yeah, definitely not ODLR! Way too fierce and bionic for them,” agreed Benn98.

Lola701 shared the same sentiment: “This fragrance does not suit ODLR at all. Neither in terms of visual or the bottle. Alibi is a great name, but it needs a more edgy campaign for a more edgy brand.”

“A gorgeous portrait because Luigi & Iango always do Irina Shayk justice and this is clearly no exception. I will always be down for some OTT robotic, airbrushed glamour. However, as flawless a portrait as it is, the image does seem rather odd coming from Oscar de la Renta…” wrote vogue28.
