It’s definitely cause for celebration whenever someone new graces our favorite glossies. Following absolutely perfect Constance Jablonski covers, British Harper’s Bazaar welcomes Francesca Hayward for June 2021. Wearing a Molly Goddard number courtesy of Cathy Kasterine, Francesca dances on London’s Millennium Bridge for the newsstand cover (below) shot by Jesse Jenkins.
Nevertheless, our forum members have mixed feelings. “Although not really suitable for a cover, it’s a beautiful image. Too bad it’s ruined by the horrible layout,” proclaims a clearly disappointed mikel.
“The colors would have been nice, but the giant ‘joy’ makes it look like a Christmas card,” Urban Stylin points out.
“Beautiful image, but not sure if it’s cover-worthy,” echoes MON.

MulletProof is far from overjoyed: “What a waste to cast a ballerina and eliminate all of her lines with the dress. So boring.”
“A beautiful image and quite the risk for a mainstream fashion magazine, especially with a relatively unknown cover subject like Francesca Hayward. I’m instantly reminded of Sarah Jessica Parker by Peter Lindbergh for U.S. Bazaar‘s March 2009 subscribers’ cover!” voiced vogue28.
“Totally LOVING IT!” declares an obviously thrilled oaklee91.
Meanwhile FashionMuseDior calls the cover “beautiful.”
