Along with Vogue Germany and Vogue Russia, Vogue Spain has been without an editor for a number of months now. The Spanish fashion bible has certainly been powering through and has nevertheless managed to secure Jill Kortleve, Bella Hadid, Jodie Comer, Paloma Elsesser along with Blanca Padilla. Now firm forum favorite Edita Vilkeviciute graces us with her presence on the magazine’s July 2021 cover five years after her last appearance. Photographed by Txema Yeste and styled by Juan Cebrian, the Lithuanian stunner welcomes us into her home on the island of Ibiza decked out in an embroidered Christian Dior creation.
Ultimately, the cover was met with mixed feedback on our forums. “Lovely, but looks more like an issue of Vogue Living,” critiqued aracic.
“The photograph is lovely, but a bit of a strange choice for a cover. Indeed looks more like Vogue Living,” echoed [Piece Of Me].
“This is a nice cover…for Architectural Digest,” wrote an obviously less than thrilled crmsnsnwflks.

SLFC was in the same frame of mind: “I like it, but it doesn’t work as a cover. It’s far too zoomed out and as other people have said, it’s more like an Architectural Digest or Vogue Living cover.”
“Edita looks beautiful as always. Wishing it was a little bit more zoomed in,” noted WAVES.
“I wish they hadn’t picked such a boring shot for the cover…” added marsnoop2.
“Such a waste of Txema Yeste,” said helmutnotdead.
“A waste of Edita Vilkeviciute, too,” replied vogue28. “I’ve never been one for cover images like this, which are far too zoomed out and show very little fashion. Had someone used the last shot of Edita’s cover feature as the cover with the orange dress…this wouldn’t have felt like a total missed opportunity.”
