You’ll Either Love or Loathe Cindy Crawford’s Tatler September 2021 Cover

Supermodels on the covers of fashion magazines is always a good idea. Especially for September. Tatler is clearly listening to our pleas for models fronting the print industry’s most important issue of the year. After all, the publication bestows upon us none other than Cindy Crawford for September 2021. The all-American beauty and modeling royalty reappears on the British mag exactly three years after her last appearance. Shot by Victor Demarchelier and styled by Tracy Taylor on location at a Malibu ranch, Cindy proves she is still the supermodel of supermodels in the warm and inviting cover image wearing a jacket, shirt and skirt from Chanel’s Fall 2021 collection.

Unfortunately for the majority of our forum members, the end result appeared to be a missed opportunity. “Beautiful cover though the composition of the horse could have been better. The lady boss business suit is also a little misplaced,” critiqued Urban Stylin.

“The styling is questionable here. There’s a disconnect between what she’s wearing and what she’s doing,” bluestar chimed in.

“I don’t like this cover, looks like a simple spread of Hello! magazine,” noted VogueGirl8910.

“Cindy was their cover star for the September 2018 edition, Tatler seems to like her. But if they’re going to recycle supermodels, there are others I’d like to see more than getting second helpings of Cindy,” voiced tigerrouge.

“Her eyes are strange and the styling is way off. Why is it so difficult to photograph this gorgeous woman like the supermodel she is?” asked mepps.

GERGIN was also quick to question the outcome: “Caitlyn Jenner looks great…this is definitely not Cindy Crawford.”

But not everyone shared the same sentiment. “I’m absolutely loving the fact Cindy’s wearing the Chanel suit (albeit misplaced) because it instantly took me back to all those covers of American Vogue styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele during the late 80s and early 90s. Everything is working for me…” approved vogue28.
