Vogue Australia March 2022 : Lorde by Alique

Lorde Looks ‘Classy and Sophisticated’ in Saint Laurent on Vogue Australia’s March 2022 Cover

Ever since she first burst on the scene, we’ve been pretty used to Lorde popping up on the cover of Vogue. Usually to much fanfare. Now Vogue Australia welcomes back the New Zealand singer/songwriter to its cover for March 2022 five years after her last appearance. Lorde is decked out in a floral Saint Laurent Spring 2022 jumpsuit courtesy of Christine Centenera for the image captured by Alique.

The cover immediately ignited debate on our forums. “I love this! I think I prefer her October 2021 American Vogue cover, but Lorde herself has never looked better than she does here,” voiced KINGofVERSAILLES.

MyNameIs shared the same sentiment: “Love it. This is the best she’s ever looked.”

“I was not expecting this. Love it!” exclaimed Kimy Jo.

Vogue Australia just trumped U.S. Vogue‘s October 2021 cover with Lorde! This may not be the most visually arresting, but I’m rather obsessed with it. I love Alique’s photography here, how sharp the cover image is, the coloring, the beauty styling and the choice of Saint Laurent,” raved vogue28.

“This is sublime. She looks just classy and sophisticated,” admired oaklee91.

“She’s serving like a baby Daria Werbowy,” ivano pointed out.

“I agree this is something Daria Werbowy would do and Lorde kinda looks like her here. The jumpsuit is questionable, but she does look amazing,” reasoned FashionMuseDior.

Although not everyone was satisfied. “The styling does not suit her at all. Christine Centenera is a terrible stylist. Her taste is so pedestrian and lacks the sophistication of her counterparts regardless of how much she tries. Besides nothing will top Lorde’s U.S. Vogue cover,” wrote Frederic01.
