A good surprise is always a good idea, especially when it comes to editors selecting cover stars for our favorite fashion glossies. This month, Vogue Greece is all about the element of surprise as editor Thaleia Karafyllidou welcomes Kim Cattrall as the magazine’s September 2023 cover subject – and surprising our forums to no end. Photographed by Charlie Grey on location in New York City, the celebrated actress fronts two unique covers. Cattrall can be found in cover one (below) striking a pose with the NYC skyline looming in the background decked out in Ferragamo, while in the second black and white cover (after the jump) gazes down Grey’s lens sporting Max Mara.
Members of our forums, however, believed a screen icon like Kim Cattrall deserved better – far better. “Hate what’s she wearing on the first cover. Looks like a cheap super hero costume. Love the second cover. Gorgeous,” mikel wrote.
“I agree, that dress on the first cover is bloody awful and looks cheap as hell. The second cover, the portrait, is beautiful, it looks serene and tasteful,” chimed in Bertrando3.
“The second cover is stunning but also looks nothing like her,” gunsnroses noted.
“Not a fan of this at all,” exclaimed Benn98.
“Oh no… none of this is flattering,” said PowerDroid.
Also far from impressed with the outcome was phungnam96, commenting: “This is so random. Kim Cattrall deserves better than this!”
