You’ll Find Kate Winslet’s October 2023 Cover of Vogue Either Weird or Wonderful

Anna Wintour appears to be on somewhat of a mission to surprise, when it comes to selecting Vogue’s cover stars. First came Olivia Rodrigo as the magazine’s surprise cover subject for August, followed by a marvel of a 90s supermodel cover for September and now (ten years after her last) we’re granted Kate Winslet for October 2023. To coincide with the British actress portraying former Vogue photojournalist Lee Miller in the upcoming aptly titled biopic Lee, Kate poses before the lens of famed photographer Annie Leibovitz at Farleys, the historic home of Miller in Sussex, England. For the vibrant cover image, stylist Tabitha Simmons dressed Kate in a geometric print dress from Prada’s Fall 2023 collection.

Ultimately, Vogue‘s latest left members of our forums with mixed feelings. “Love the photo, not sure how I feel about it as a cover, though,” voiced KINGofVERSAILLES the moment the cover dropped.
“The set is beautiful, but she looked weird in the photo!” noted DK92.
“This has to be a joke, right? It’s a trainwreck. Photoshopping is terrible, I’m not sure if she’s leaning or if she was never on set to begin with. Maybe better as an editorial image but certainly not a cover,” Benn98 stated. Also not much of a fan was mepps: “The Photoshop is botched, and the composition is off. Another instantly forgettable Vogue cover!”
Yet not everyone agreed. “A win for me. It’s different, it’s kinda cool and off and most certainly unexpected, which I like. Also, Kate. Very much here for Kate,” appreciated honeycombchild.
“I like it, something different for a change,” echoed kokobombon.
