We’ve been huge supporters of Harper’s Bazaar France, following the title’s triumphant relaunch in 2021. The magazine, spearheaded by Olivier Lalanne, has impressed us to no end. Cover stars of late have included everyone from Vittoria Ceretti and Vanessa Paradis to Julianne Moore and Loli Bahia. Joining the ranks this month as a Harper’s Bazaar France cover girl is Charlotte Cardin, who graces the August 2026 edition of the magazine. Lalanne commissioned the photographer Théo de Gueltzl to profile the Canadian singer, captured on location in Paris. Complete with styling from Helena Hiegemann, gazes down Gueltzl’s lens wearing Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent.
Charlotte Cardin for Harper’s Bazaar France August 2026

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“I have never heard of Cardin, but this is a very good cover. I like the fashion/beauty styling, light, and color scheme,” enthused MModa upon checking out the cover.
Oaklee91 simply used the word “lovely” to describe the outcome.
“She’s gorgeous and photographs well. I love this cover,” Valentine27 praised.
Not everyone, however, was so convinced. “They didn’t do her justice! So bad! One of the worst Bazaar France covers!” declared an unforgiving BalkaniStaCouture.
“One of French Bazaar‘s weaker cover offerings, for sure,” vogue28 agreed. “I don’t mind the fact that Charlotte Cardin is on the cover, but this feels like a total non-event. Why do I get the feeling that Karim Sadli would’ve aced a cover shoot with Charlotte? We needed Sadli on this occasion.”
