Must-See! “Women Fashion Power” Exhibit at London’s Design Museum

If there’s one thing we love more than a powerful man, it’s a powerful woman. And we’re not the only ones. Next week on October 29, London’s Design Museum will debut a new exhibit, Women Fashion Power, highlighting 150 years of female powerhouses who’ve used fashion to build a reputation and assert their authority. In addition, there will be 25 contemporary women featured, from model Naomi Campbell to Paris’ mayor Anne Hidalgo, who each contributed an outfit to the show as well as their personal take on style. The beautifully designed exhibit was brought together by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid and co-curated by fashion writer Colin McDowell and the Design Museum’s head of curatorial, Donna Loveday.

If you’re feeling power hungry, Harper’s Bazaar U.K. editor-in-chief Justine Picardie will be hosting two events in conjunction with the exhibit. On November 11, she will emcee a panel discussion on the theme of women, fashion and power; on December 4, she will sit down with designer Roksanda Ilincic for a one-on-one. To reserve tickets and find out more, visit the Design Museum.

Women Fashion Power will be on display from October 29, 2014 to April 26, 2015.
