Jaeger London Fall 2011 Runway Review

A bit of drama in size and proportion were key themes at the Jaeger London Fall 2011 show. Contrasts were a constant and included oversized lapels in jackets, floor length outerwear, and large sweaters paired with skinny pants. Color was also used to show opposition by pairing black with brighter yellows, pinks and blues.

Trouser pants were houndstooth and high waisted, perfect for the office. Skirts were below the knee and had a slight flounce. Colors were mostly muted in beige, olive green, black, and mustard with a few pops of tomato red. The real standouts were the overcoats, especially a black floor length version with an oversized lapel lined in cream shearling.

Some of the lapels were a bit comical but it worked on the proportion theme. The collection included plenty of wearable, luxurious staple pieces that buyers will be pleased with next Fall.
