Last season’s foray into Native American prints and motifs was an unfortunate turn for the Parisian favorite Isabel Marant. Sure, the accessories and outerwear had a few fans, but overall it was haphazard and disappointing. Luckily, this season the designer had a much more youthful and energetic tone. Teen spirit emblems and the label’s signature slouchy Parisian-cool separates were shown in both brights and cool ocean tones. Mixed prints and contrasting textures looked worn and washed with retro anoraks and patchwork denim shown alongside t-shirts and loose knits. In a slight non sequitur, the final section of the show was filled with lurex minis and body-con dresses but it still carried the same laissez-faire attitude.
"Great cover, quite impactful."
