BCBG Max Azria Fall 2012 Runway Review

Fantastic color combinations – including unexpected mixes of sheer neutral fabrics with opaque rusty ones – lightweight color blocked fabrics, and fur stoles helped create a slew of long, sleek looks, while pleats on tops, bottoms, and on one-piece looks along with wide leg pants and loosely draped outerwear made for flatteringly elongated silhouettes.

The main takeaway from the show, however, were the fur accents which appeared everywhere from on the sleeves of coats, to clutches, to scarves. Similarly, nearly every look was color blocked, including some jumpsuits, and most were fashioned in neutral and rusty hues giving the collection an overall retro, relaxed 70s feel.

Makeup was kept clean and simple and hair was pulled back making for a sophisticated and approachable look that complemented the collection well.
