From newbies to relaunched labels, New York Fashion Week showed plenty of promising fashion forward collections deserving of the "one to watch" title. While you may not have heard of these labels yet, there is no question that you will find yourself either wearing or lusting after them soon enough. Whether you are on the prowl for contemporary-cool or upscale luxe, here are three outstanding labels that require your utmost attention.
Meet #NYFW's Top 3 Hottest Newbies
Kaelen
While Kaelen Haworth , a Toronto native and Parsons grad, has been tagged as "one to watch" since debuting her line two years ago, this season, the designer's spring collection felt more mature, sophisticated, and more importantly, representative of the label's edgy but ladylike aesthetic.

Kaelen
Kaelen's spring lineup was filled with powerful pieces including structured peplum skirts, and sporty neoprene jackets. Using icy pink, nude, and pale yellow accents to offset a mainly black and white palette, Kaelen provided an artificial element that hinted of a slight 80s feel. Textured fabrics gave the classic palette an offbeat look that felt powerful and completely in sync with the modern woman.

ICB by Prabal Gurung
Sure you might not have heard of ICB yet, but being that this contemporary label is helmed by Prabal Gurung, one of this generation's most talented designers and fashion's best, it's only a matter of time (short) before this relaunched brand explodes on to the mainstream scene.

ICB by Prabal Gurung
Already spotted on the likes of Leighton Meester and Hannah Bronfman , this adventurous line reads as young, fresh, and particularly urbane. For its second season, Gurung continued exploring bold graphic prints with intense hues, a key theme in ICB's Fall 2012 collection. Blocked colors and black bordering further emboldened this standout collection while menswear detailing and sharp tailoring gave this flirty lineup a defined feel on par with Gurung's talent.

Brandon Sun
Brandon Sun 's second RTW collection felt like a direct succession of his short but very promising career thus far. Having directed the division at both J. Mendel and Oscar de la Renta , it's only natural that this Parsons grad's sophomore lineup was filled with luxe detailing and standout pieces. Upscale accents like lace-embroidered tulle, cascading deep pockets, and tweed columns gave staples a dramatic spotlight-worthy attraction, without feeling costumey or theme-like.

Sophisticated and a touch avant-garde, these tailored pieces are meant to transition easily from casual-luxe wear to fancy night ensembles with the mere change of heels, a defining characteristic that will surely put Sun's name on the map of high-end fashion in no time.
