Inspired by how Mick Jagger dressed when he was with Marianne Faithfull in the late 60s, this season’s DVF collection translated menswear for a female body with plenty of graphic prints, slim silhouettes, and tweeds, all of which were done in a jewel and neutral-toned color palette.

Kate Spade
Bright colors, bold head-to-toe prints, and denim on denim made for a fittingly upbeat Kate Spade collection that including fitted trousers, slim blazers, cropped over-the-ankle pants, and weekender bags.

Gucci
Clashing colors and Fifties-inspired shapes (think flared skirts, cinched waists) made for an unexpectedly conservative collection from Gucci this season. Styling hiccups aside (a wide collared loosely tailored olive coat with teal trousers, black shoes, and leopard accessories, for example), there was much to love in the understated tailoring when pieces were taken individually.

J. Mendel
Texture played a major role in Gilles Mendel's dark collection this season, adding visual interest to both day and eveningwear. Cut-outs, peplums, sheer panels, and fur trim similarly worked to brighten many of the monochrome looks.

Tory Burch
Inspired by the military, Tory Burch showed a rather conservative collection this season that included long pencil skirts and structured oversized coats. Glamour was added in for evening via embellished separates.
