Proenza Schouler Spring 2014: Pleats Please!

This season Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez played a great deal with volume, resulting in looks that fit in perfectly with the roomy and relaxed silhouettes that have been pervading the runways thus far.

Wide cropped trousers, oversized outerwear, sculpted oversized arms on tops, and pantsuits that appeared as though they had been hand-painted were all standouts, but the real show-stoppers were the series of long white pleated skirts, each of which came inset with metallic strips. The skirts were paired with equally appealing tops that ranged from a chunky off-white knit to a fitted black top cropped at an angle.
