Rodarte Fall 2014 is Star Wars Themed (Runway Review)

The Scene: Shown at Center 548, the runway, designed by Bureau Betak, featured lightsaber-like light fixtures.

The Inspiration: Star Wars.

The Look: Long vests, high waisted drawstring pants, semi sheer pants, mixed textured outerwear, lots of layering of fabrics, colors and patterns, colorfully patterned turtlenecks and gowns printed with images of Yoda, Luke Skywalker and other Star Wars characters.

The Accessories: Lace-up platforms, strappy sandals, peep toe booties, heavily embellished structured handbags and many of the models wore glasses.

The Beauty: A heavy look — eye shadow was worn up to the eye brow and lips were saturated. As for hair, it was side parted with side-swept bangs.

The Takeaway: In keeping with last season’s collection, many of these looks were more appropriate for Halloween than a runway.
