Remember how amazing the Aje MBFWA show was? It had everyone talking. Now the countdown is on until the pieces we all drooled over in April can get into our hot little hands. To remind you of the brilliance, think safari with a luxe twist, using embellishments and adornments mixed in with natural raw fabrics like khaki leather.
Aje’s muse for the collection was Osa Johnson, a 20th century American Explorer, so we’re not surprised that the range tapped into a jungle-like aesthetic. A game-changer of her time who travelled to continents far and wide discovering tribes and wildlife was the perfect inspiration, staying true to the label’s signature style of high fashion balanced with coastal influences.
The highly-anticipated collection by Aje’s design duo, Adrian Norris and Edwina Robinson, will tempt us slowly over the next few months, with the pieces dropping over August, September and October. The luxurious pieces manage to blend tough and feminine like no other, and we suggest you waste no time jumping straight onto the webstore come August. Something’s telling us they won’t last long.
We’ve pulled our favourite looks from the first delivery, but be sure to carefully allocate an Aje budget for each drop. We don’t want you missing out on a second of the three consecutive months of greatness.
