theFashionSpot: What’s your inspiration this season?
Jenny Lee: This specific collection was inspired by my love for corsets. I’ve taken vintage inspiration and fused it with modern twists to create beautiful gowns that emphasize a woman’s natural hourglass shape.
tFS: Do your East Coast brides dress differently than your West Coast brides?
JL: Generally, most West Coast brides go for the trendy, figure-revealing dresses. The slinky sheath look is really in right now. East Coast brides are very fashionable and go for the more formal look.
tFS: What bridal trend are you over?
JL: I’m not a fan of A-line or giant ball gowns that are designed to not flatter the bride’s body. I think in designing any wedding dress, the most important thing to consider is if it will make the body look its absolute best.
tFS: Your dog’s name is Beyoncé. Explain!
JL: My shih tzu has a lot of volume in her booty. When she gets really excited for a treat, she bounds up and down, making her booty shake. We started calling her Beyoncé after that.
