Honor’s Giovanna Randall has some big news since we last spoke with her in September. She’s expecting baby number two! We caught up with the designer backstage at her Fall 2015 show to get the scoop.
theFashionSpot: Congratulations on your pregnancy! When are you due?
Giovanna Randall: Thank you! I’m due at the end of March, beginning of April.
tFS: Do you know if the baby is a boy or girl yet?
GR: No, I like to be surprised!
tFS: Do you have any pregnancy cravings?
GR: I eat a lot of ice cream. I’ve gotten really into strawberry, which is weird because I haven’t eaten it since I was like, five.
tFS: How do you balance running a fashion brand and being a mother?
GR: Having a fashion brand is a little like having a child because everyone needs you all the time. So, it wasn’t that much of an adjustment. I just miss my daughter!
tFS: What was your inspiration for Fall 2015?
GR: The Northeast and the American wilderness — mushrooms and toadstools and deer!
tFS: What did you want to achieve with this collection?
GR: I wanted to be more succinct, so there were a few less looks than last year. I felt like the message was stronger this season. I only put in as many looks as it takes to tell the story, and this felt right.
