While we look forward to every season, the pre-fall collections are the veritable cherry on top of the fashion calendar. The smaller collections may be unveiled at the end of the year, but they hit the sales floor in late spring and keep going strong through the summer. This time around, designers offered plenty of real-world styling options by giving a master class on how to properly mix and match patterns for maximum impact. While the 70s were still clearly a source of inspiration brought over from the fall offerings and the color orange showed some real staying power from spring, pre-fall gave us plenty of grand gowns and dynamic dresses with a decidedly modern flair in a broad spectrum of shades. But perhaps what we’re most excited about are the crazy cool jackets and coats we’ve just been bombarded with.
