It’s hard to believe that those jumbo hats that have been flooding Instagram and glossy magazine covers for over a year now are still going strong. In fact, there were a surprising number of hats featured on December glossy covers — and not the kinds that do well come winter winds. As for holiday cheer, the December covers were more or less evenly split between those that showed no signs and those that went all out with feathers, sequins and bold makeup. Unfortunately, diversity was close to zero this month showing that no matter how the media may spin it, another year has gone by and very little has changed.
