August is a tricky month. At least when it comes to magazine covers. It’s the end of summer but right before those always epic September issues. It can sometimes feel like a throwaway as publications save the goods for the big fall fashion installments. So it’s not surprising that the August 2021 magazine covers are a bit of a letdown.
Frankly, the styling leaves a lot to be desired. We’re mainly treated to swimsuits. Or more fall-appropriate fare. Overall the beauty fared better ranging between minimal to glam at its finest.
There’s a decent amount of diversity. (But there’s definitely room for much, much more.) The U.K. edition of Harper’s Bazaar decided to shine the spotlight on body positivity. Which, of course, we love.
Keep reading to see all the August 2021 magazine covers we loved and the ones we can do without.
