of fashion month is officially over. Milan Fashion Week Fall 2022 showcased the best the world of fashion has to offer. It’s arguably the best Milan Fashion Week in decades. Glenn Martens kicked things off by hitting a home run with his Y2K-inspired Diesel collection. Meanwhile, there was something Hitchcockian about Kim Jones’ latest Fendi collection. According to Fausto Puglisi, the Roberto Cavalli woman will be vamp, camp, seductive and playing hard to get. At Max Mara, Ian Griffiths was inspired by the work of Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Models paraded through a metal sci-fi tunnel at Prada with co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons perhaps producing their best collection yet. There are plenty of must-have pieces like shimmering slip skirts and strong-shouldered blazers. Gucci debuted another surprise collaboration this time with Adidas Originals, while Jeremy Scott gave us a conceptual show to remember where everything from lamps to sofas to curtains served as inspiration. The new era of Bottega Veneta has begun with Matthieu Blazy making his long-awaited debut melding color and texture while celebrating the brand’s legacy of exceptional craftsmanship. No dress was too tight and no skirt too short at Versace. Giorgio Armani presented a graceful and sophisticated collection as models walked the runway in silence out of respect for Ukraine.
