However, like clockwork, at the end of every summer, fashion authorities tell us that wearing white clothing and accessories after Labor Day is fashion suicide. According to Time.com, “as far back as the 1920s, Coco Chanel made white a year-round staple,” so it’s no surprise that celebrities are breaking the rules.
Rachel Zoe wowed audiences during the last season of her reality television show, The Rachel Zoe Project, when the stylist beamed at the thought of her clients Cameron Diaz and Demi Moore having “white moments” at the Oscars. “Everyone looks good in white,” she gushed as she searched for the perfect dresses for the awards show. This fashion rule is clearly outdated.
