Stars in Stars: Celebs Wear Dolce & Gabbana’s Celestial Print

Move over stripes, polka dots, and Navajo print—Dolce & Gabbana and the celebs that love them have an agenda to make stars the hottest print for fall. The label premiered celestial collection on the runways at Fall Fashion Week 2011, with star print chiffon gowns, mini-dresses, and even sequin star-emblazoned suits. Now that Fall 2011 has actually rolled around, celebrities are star-struck by the trend, and the results are out of this world.

During Milan Fashion Week, Naomi Campbell attended the Pirelli Corso Venezia flagship store opening in a disco-ready Dolce & Gabbana sequined star print mini-dress. Earlier in the season, Olivia Wilde sparkled in a long sleeve sequin dress by the designer at The Change-Up afterparty in LA. A very pregnant Jessica Alba glowed in another galactic look by the designer at the Spy Kids: All the Time in the World premiere.

Celebs are loving D&G’s star print leggings for more casual looks, too. Evan Rachel Wood wore them with a leather jacket for a retro rockabilly look at a screening of Curb Your Enthusiasm, while Solange Knowles rocked them in a tuxedo-inspired ensemble at a Net-a-Porter party for the designers. Rose Byrne dressed the brilliant pants down with a heather grey t-shirt while out and about in the East Village.

In fact, the actress loves the starry look so much, she wore a Zara star print jumpsuit at the premiere of The Hunter. The print, she says, “unleashed her inner Harry Potter.” On the red carpet at the Do Something awards, Rose McGowan wore a Dolce & Gabbana star print dress with a sweetheart neckline. Her red pumps and lipstick made for an all-American look.  Kim Kardashian wore a curve-hugging dress covered in stars while shopping for a wedding cake in L.A

The print doesn’t have to come in white-on-black. Fan Bing Bing’s ruched dress by Dolce & Gabbana reversed the colors at a L’Oreal press conference in Beijing. Fergie wore a black and yellow number at the Teen Choice Awards, while Ashley Tisdale arrived at LAX in a red star print sweater by Wildfox
