Camila stunned at the premiere of Interstellar in a strapless onyx gown by Rubin Singer. The fabric’s high-shine coating looked almost electrified, adding to the actress’ natural glow. Kat Dennings wore another metallic look by the same designer at the amfAR Inspiration Gala Los Angeles. The artfully swirled piece gave off a steely gleam, which the actress complemented with an equally bright beaded clutch. Also at amfAR, Ashley Madekwe put a matte finish on the metallic trend in a silky column gown. Her pewter Armani dress featured a studded bodice and pleated skirt that created the effect of chain mail.

On the more brilliant side of the chrome trend was Kate’s spangled Jenny Packham gown at the American Cinematheque Award Ceremony honoring Matthew McConaughey. The incandescent look glided over the actress’ figure like molten silver. She mixed metals by pairing the dress with a gold clutch. At the CMA Awards, Nashville star Chaley Rose turned heads in a foiled Johnathan Kayne gown. The already-dazzling damask patterned dress was further highlighted by Swarovski crystal embellishments on the strappy back. Sienna Miller sparkled at the BFI London Film Festival screening of Foxcatcher in a slithery Galvan slip dress. The incandescent piece featured stripes of platinum-hued Lurex over a nude background. We love the way she offset the shine with a dark manicure.

Chrome dresses are catching our eye in warm tones, too. Rose Byrne looked fall fantastic when she made her Broadway debut in a bronze DSquared2 dress. The You Can’t Take It With You actress set off the shimmery silk chiffon with pointy mirrored pumps and a gold cuff. Meanwhile, Lea Michele glittered in Versace at the amfAR Inspiration Gala. The sexy champagne-colored piece featured side cut-outs and a waterfall of sequins echoed in the actress’ dangling Jennifer Meyer earrings. Tilda’s look at the Governors Awards was Kodachrome — her long-sleeved Schiaparelli dress was covered in a rainbow of sequined stripes that looked from afar like rose gold. She played up the flashes of color with colorblocked pumps and a bubblegum pink pout.
