tFS: Has your Look been inspired by any other Eurovision acts?
CW: Style-wise, no not really. Of course you do sometimes look left or right for some inspiration but I believe that you should always go your own way. In terms of music however, then definitely. We’ve experienced so many different Eurovision artists who’ve got better over the years vocally but Celine Dion is an exception and started out flawless. I do however remember her look at Eurovision in 1988 and think if she’d have worn it with a waist belt it could have looked really good!
tFS: You’ll be hosting the green room at this year’s Eurovision, how many outfit changes have you got planned?
CW: I have so many planned! My stylist and I are obviously obsessed with fashion, and I am in the position to be honored with absolutely fantastic costumes by so many big designer names.
tFS: Will that include any British designers?
CW: Well, there’ s Jean Paul Gaultier… But no unfortunately I won’t be wearing a UK design.
tFS: Do you have any favourite British designers?
CW: Well, obviously Victoria Beckham! Because her pieces are timeless, simple, perfect, minimalistic and I really like that.
tFS: What has been your fashion highlight since winning Eurovision?
CW: I have many but walking the runway for Jean Paul Gaultier was completely amazing. Every look by him is like liquid silk. Or wearing Alexis Mabille couture at the Golden Globes was also a fantastic experience. It was an absolutely breathtaking dress.
tFS: And finally, will we ever see you turning your hand to fashion design? Or perhaps collaborating with a design house?
CW: I would love to. I studied fashion myself, so I completely understand what the industry is all about. Music is however the first love of my life and because my album is coming out on 15th May, I’m really concentrated and focused on music for the moment but never say never. I would love to, and I’ll definitely do it if I ever get the chance.
