Lollapalooza took place this past weekend in Chicago’s Grant Park and, as expected, the festival faithful came out in fashionable droves. Once known as mainly an alternative music showcase, the annual event marked its 20th anniversary with an eclectic mix of artists, including Eminem, Muse, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Cee Lo Green, The Cars, Damian Marley, and Nas. Here is just a sampling of the more interesting festival ensembles from this year’s Lollapalooza scene.

Professing your love for New York might not be such a hot idea while you’re hanging out in the Windy Cindy. That being said, this festival-goer reclaims some cool points thanks to the tee’s worn-in nature. Those faux wellies bring to mind Glastonbury style and came in handy with the slightly muddy conditions at this year’s Lolla festivities. Even the style mavens sent to document the best getups dressed to impress. April Francis was busy covering the festivities on day one for Refinery29, but certainly looked the part in a ruffle-centric shirt, lace-up boots, and red quilted crossbody.
