Most of us have read the stories about how much of a madhouse Black Friday was at this point, but truth be told, I went to Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic, Juicy Couture, Bergorf Goodman, and Bloomingdale’s – all before noon – and with the exception of the shoe section at Saks, there was no madness in sight. Unfortunately, while I did snag a few great things in stores and online– a jumper by Bird at Juicy Couture, a cozy Aiko sweater and top at Bloomingdale’s, and some everyday staples from Elie Tahari on Shopbop – I found much of the in-store promotions to be disappointing and most of the items I ordered online to be major let-downs.
Here were some of the biggest disappointments – including a few items I returned, so be forewarned if you see them pop back on Net-a-Porter!
