No globe-trotting needed! This spring, the world is coming to you and will be available at your fingertips. Take a tour of the globe thanks to spring’s key global influence trend, as seen on the runways around the world. From Africa to Asia by way of South America and the Wild West, designers hit the global trail and were inspired by the local dress codes of these sunny, far-off destinations, adopting exotic embellishments, rich embroidery, Aztec jewelry, dramatic draping and graphic prints to march to an ethnic, tribal beat. As if directly torn from a page out of National Geographic, the Spring 2014 catwalk was a melting pot in celebration of culture — call it a culture clash of chic with a decidedly artisanal quality.
